At the heart of every THERMO PRIDE
oil-fired furnace is the "Octatherm" heat exchanger. This
unique eight-sided design serves to agitate the combustion gases…retaining
them longer and causing increased surface contact for better heat
transfer.
This also avoids the "dead space" of a square corner heat
exchanger and the "streamlining" of gases over the long
smooth surface of a round heat exchanger. As a result, the octatherm
design generates increased efficiency at a lower cost.
THERMO PRIDE
oil-fired furnaces incorporate controls produced by the industry's
most respected manufactures. The Controls package includes the
following.
• A Honeywell automatic/manual
fan and limit control which oversees the unit's internal temperatures.
• A Honeywell primary control module and "cad cell"
monitors the proper and safe operation of the oil burner.
• A Field barometric draft regulator which provides for
exact draft settings.
• A Honeywell heating/cooling wall mounted thermostat to
monitor the temperature of the air in the home.
• A Honeywell fan center is standard on all oil-fired furnace
models which are equipped with direct-drive, four speed blowers.

flame burner. This proven burner features a stainless steel
tube and end cone, a design which helps provide and exacting,
vaporized mixture of fuel and air. The result is a hotter flame

One
of the key elements in heating comfort is temperature rise.
It is defined as the amount of heat that is added to the circulating
household air as it crosses the heat exchanger.
During the blustery, frigid months
of winter, homeowners expect the air from their registers
to be warm. Often times, however, with some furnace brands,
it does not feel warm. This is due to what the industry refers
to as the "low temperature rise" of the heating
unit.
THERMO PRIDE oil fired furnaces are designed to provide a
high temperature rise so that you can feel comfortably warm
on the coldest days or nights.
With THERMO PRIDE oil-fired furnaces,
comfort and quietness are assured whether you elect a model
equipped with a belt-driven blower…or one which features
a direct-drive, four speed blower. Both are designed to provide
optimum performance.
For many years, belt-driven blowers
have been popular with heating/cooling professionals due to
the infinite range of blower settings they afford. They are
especially suitable in heating only applications.
THERMO PRIDE'S direct-drive blower
speeds are easily changed between heating and cooling. When
the seasons change, if you have air conditioning and you want
to go from heating to cooling, the direct-drive blower is
automatically set for the correct amount of air flow required
for cooling your home.

THERMO PRIDE'S oil -fired furnaces
are available in sizes ranging from 56,000 BTU to 320,000
BTU output. In addition to having one of the most complete
lines of BTU capacities, THERM0 PRIDE also offers a complete
selection of furnace styles.
Lowboys, for basement use,
feature vestibule-enclosed burners and either rear or front
flues. Highboys and Counterflows (which also have vestibule
enclosed burners) for basements/utility rooms…and closets/utility
rooms, respectively, feature a top flue discharge. And horizontals,
for crawl spaces, are available with either front or rear
flues.
When replacing an existing
furnace, you'll appreciate knowing THERMO PRIDE furnaces
are generally much closer in size to your original unit,
this greatly reducing the amount of ductwork modification
required.

variety of furnace styles, can save considerable money in
installation costs.

If you want to heat your home with fuel oil, but your home
doesn't have a chimney…or the existing chimney is inadequate…fuel
oil can still be a viable alternative with THERMO PRIDE'S
Power Side Wall Venting system.
If you're building a new home,
you don't even need a chimney because the optional Power Side
Wall Venting System allows exhausting directly through an
outside wall.

On all OH, OC, & OL models equipped with a top front flue
the flue elbow can be turned 90 degrees right or left.
Reverse Flue Horizontals - All
OT models are standard with the burner and the flue on the
same side. Reverse flue models are available and the flue
is located on the side opposite the burner.
